Help and setup
OmniDock Support
Setup guidance and troubleshooting for faster Dock window switching on macOS.
Getting started
Launch OmniDock, then open the menu bar item labeled OD. The settings window includes controls for Dock click behavior, live previews, per-app keyboard shortcuts, and macOS permission status.
Permissions
OmniDock may request the following macOS permissions:
- Accessibility: Dock item detection and window control.
- Input Monitoring: Dock click detection on macOS versions that require it.
- Screen Recording: window thumbnails, including live images and one-time static snapshots.
You can review or change these permissions in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
Dock previews or click toggling stopped working
- Quit and reopen OmniDock.
- Confirm the required permissions are enabled for OmniDock.
- Remove and re-add OmniDock in the affected permission section if macOS still blocks the feature.
- Make sure the installed app is running from
/Applications/OmniDock.app.
A per-app shortcut does not register
- Choose a shortcut that includes Command, Control, or Option.
- Avoid browser tab navigation shortcuts and common macOS shortcuts.
- Remove duplicate shortcuts inside OmniDock.
- Reopen OmniDock after changing permissions.
Reporting an issue
Include your macOS version, OmniDock version, Dock position, whether Dock auto-hide is enabled, the affected app name, and the steps that reproduce the behavior.
Email support@omnidock.app with those details. Please avoid sharing private screenshots, file names, window contents, or personal data unless they are necessary to explain the issue.
